The main focus of my research is to investigate and understand the pathophysiology of dysfunctional hemodialysis access. We use novel
in vivo molecular imaging approaches to image and predict the stenosis and failure in arteriovenous fistulas using animal models. Our goal is to translate these technologies to patients with dysfunctional dialysis access to detect stenosis earlier and eventually prevent the development of stenosis. Our clinical research is focused on improving outcomes of access interventions using novel techniques.
