My research is directed towards the development of novel optical techniques and methods to image the living body, study the structure and function of tissues and organs, and translate these findings into diagnostic and therapeutic clinical applications. Current projects include: 1) Advancing polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT) imaging for a range of clinical imaging applications: Coronary atherosclerosis, pulmonary fibrosis, stereotactic neurosurgery. 2) Extending the reach of optical imaging with new imaging paradigms for ultra-miniature optical endoscopy.
