atypical neuronal migration; axonal elongation; brain connectivity; brain development; brain pathways; fetal brain development Our lab investigates brain development in typically developing brains of human fetuses, newborns, infants and young adults, as well as those diagnosed with various developmental disorders. We also compare brain development across species to better understand developmental mechanisms of the human brain. We work on basic and translational research questions related to brain development especially typical and atypical neuronal migration and axonal elongation, as well as maturation of brain pathways up to young adult ages.
