anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis; covid-19; epidemiology; health outcomes; igg4-related disease; public health; systemic vasculitis; translational research Dr. Zachary Wallace conducts clinical epidemiology research with a focus on multi-system rheumatic diseases, especially IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) and ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV).  He has received advanced training in clinical epidemiology through a Masters of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health.  Dr. Wallace has conducted research and provided clinical care for patients with IgG4-RD since the beginning of his residency.  He is a member of the Center for IgG4-RD which is an NIH Autoimmune Center of Excellence.  His research in IgG4-RD is focused on the epidemiology of the disease, clinical trials, and outcome tool development.  In AAV, he is interested in improving long-term outcomes, including mortality, cardiovascular disease, and end-stage renal disease, through the application of advanced clinical and pharmaco-epidemiology to identify optimal treatment regimens.  His research has been funded by the National Insitutes of Health, the Rheumatology Research Foundation, and the Executive Committee on Research at MGH.
