Jeanne B. Ackman, MD is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Radiologist in the Division of Thoracic Imaging and Intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital.  Prior to these appointments, she performed general radiology in private practice for ten years.  Her academic interests include Thoracic MRI and imaging of the thymus.  She has written many research papers, review articles, and textbook chapters, lectures nationally and internationally in these subject areas, and is lead author of the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria’s Imaging of Mediastinal Masses.  She has received many awards for her service as a peer reviewer for academic journals.

Dr. Ackman attended Harvard University for college, Yale University School of Medicine, Yale affiliate Greenwich Hospital for an internship in internal medicine, and Massachusetts General Hospital for Radiology residency.  She did mini-fellowships in Thoracic and Pediatric Radiology at MGH and a Body/Women’s Imaging fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
