Dr. Anna M. Georgiopoulos is Assistant in Research in the MGH Clinical and Research Programs in Pediatric Psychopharmacology and Adult ADHD and Consulting Child Psychiatrist for the MGH Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Program. She is Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Georgiopoulos graduated from Yale University with membership in Phi Beta Kappa. She completed medical school and internship at the Mayo Clinic, and adult and child psychiatry training at MGH/McLean. She has worked in the medical devices group at the US Food and Drug Administration.
Her work on ADHD, depression and anxiety in chronic illness received an American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Pilot Research Award. In addition to the Joyce and Richard Tedlow Award for excellence in integrating psychotherapy, psychopharmacology and clinical research, she has received awards from the Minnesota Psychiatric Society and the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine.
Dr. Georgiopoulos has published articles and chapters on ADHD, mood disorders including postpartum depression, and psychiatric education and diagnostics. She is co-editor with Dr. Jerrold Rosenbaum of the book Perspectives in Cross-Cultural Psychiatry.
