Dr. Preeti is a molecular scientist specializing in the genetics of muscular dystrophies and biomarker development. She earned her Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), where herdoctoral research focused on the genetics of various muscular dystrophies. Currently, she is working on the biomarker development of central nervous system involvement in Myotonic Dystrophy. Her work aims to develop critical biomarkers by utilizing cerebrospinal fluid samples. Through a comprehensive approach combining both transcriptomics and metabolomics analysis, she is actively identifying novel molecular signatures that could help to monitor disease activity and therapeutic response in myotonic dystrophy.
