Using a combination of intraoperative neurophysiology, noninvasive neurophysiology and neuroimaging, Dr. Herrington aims to further our understanding of the role of the human basal ganglia in health and disease and to develop novel approaches to neuromodulation to treat motor and nonmotor symptoms. He has received support from the National Institutes of Health, the American Academy of Neurology and the Bachman-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation.
