I am an Instructor in Neurology with expertise in modeling neurodegenerative disease using bioinformatics, Drosophila genetics, and human iPSCs. My career goal is to establish my own, independent academic laboratory leveraging these three approaches to identify the molecular mechanisms that cause ALS and related neurodegenerative diseases. My primary project focuses on how misregulated genes in ALS and Alzheimer's disease cause the accumulation of toxic proteins.
