neuromuscular diseases; spinal muscular atrophy I am a scientist interested in the convergence between genome editing and applied physiology to make an impact on human health. In my Ph.D. studies and my postdoctoral research, I led projects focused on strategies to improve systemic metabolism and counteract cancer cachexia. Currently, I am dedicating my research efforts to identifying novel biomarkers to track neuromuscular diseases and to developing genome editing technologies to treat muscular and neuromuscular diseases.
