I am a postdoctoral researcher (MD, PhD) at Massachusetts General Hopital Department of Neurology and Center for Genomic Medicine. My research goal is to unravel the genetic architecture and transcriptional mechanisms surrounding X-linked dystonia-parkinsonism and other genetic and idiopathic forms of dystonia and Parkinson disease. I obtained my medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and trained in Clinical Neurology at the Philippine General Hospital. I then pursued PhD studies in Molecular Life Sciences at the University of Lübeck, Germany.
