She was accepted from high school into medical school at the age of sixteen at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. As a medical student, she received the Sarah Morrison Student Research Award. She completed neurology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she was selected to attend the Neurology Resident Scholars Program in Toronto, Canada. She did a two year Sleep Medicine fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. During her fellowship, she received the Physician Scientist Training Award from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She also completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Adusumilli is a board-certified physician in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
