Dr. Bassett is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an infectious disease physician at Massachusetts General Hospital.

She is the Co-Director of the Harvard University Center for AIDS Research. Her research interests include evaluating strategies for improving uptake and retention o HIV and TB services in South Africa.

Dr. Bassett earned an MD from Harvard Medical School and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
