Research Narrative
Dr. Borek Foldyna is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and an Attending Cardiovascular Radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical and research interests focus on advanced coronary CT angiography, cardiac MRI, and AI-enabled quantitative imaging methods for cardiovascular risk assessment and precision medicine.
Dr. Foldyna leads and collaborates on large-scale clinical trials and multi-cohort imaging studies aimed at improving the characterization of coronary atherosclerosis and identifying novel cardiometabolic imaging biomarkers. His NIH-funded research program focuses on the development and validation of imaging biomarkers for cardiovascular risk prediction and precision medicine. He serves as Associate Director of Operations at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cardiovascular Imaging Research Center and Director of the Metabolic Imaging Core, supporting the development and translation of innovative imaging technologies through interdisciplinary research collaborations.
