I am a clinical scientist and statistician by training with a diverse background. My journey from clinician to trial statistician and now to machine learning scientist has been driven by a desire to make a systematic, broader, and direct impact on patient care and public health. As a clinician, I have witnessed firsthand the limitations and reactive nature of routine medical practice, where decisions were often constrained by incomplete data and limited tools. This experience drove me to focus on clinical trial design and biostatistical methods, where I could engage closely in generating high-quality clinical evidence to support effective and innovative treatments with translational impact. However, as I delved deeper into clinical data analytics, I recognized the transformative potential of modern machine learning methods to revolutionize healthcare and medical practice by unlocking latent patterns from complex datasets, designing personalized treatments, and optimizing clinical workflow efficiency. This realization prompted my transition to machine intelligence research, where I strive to develop innovative, scalable solutions that bridge cutting-edge technology with practical clinical applications as the next chapter of my professional career.
