childhood obesity; food insecurity; geographic information systems; health disparities; obesity; public health Dr. Fiechtner's research has focused on prevention and treatment of childhood obesity in the clinic and community and food insecurity. She has developed an evidenced based Center's for Disease Control and American Academy of Pediatrics recognized family healthy weight program called the Healthy Weight Clinic. In addition, she is the Senior Health and Research Advisor at the Greater Boston Food Bank and leads their annual statewide survey on food insecurity and access in Massachusetts.
