disease inheritance; dna mitochondrial; electron transport complex i; genome mitochondrial; mitochondrial diseases; mitochondrial proteins; mitochondrial proteome; next-gen sequencing; sequence analysis dna I am a computational biologist working with Vamsi Mootha on human genetics of mitochondrial disease, the function of mitochondrial proteins and pathways, and the evolutionary history of the mitochondrial proteome. Through integrating data from various technologies (next-gen sequencing, proteomics, comparative genomics, microarray expression), we learn clues to understanding the inherited basis of disease and the function of protein components.
