I have a clinical practice in pediatric endocrinology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and am leading a clinical trial under the mentorship of Drs. Steven Grinspoon and Takara Stanley in the Program in Nutritional Metabolism.

Overall, my research interests involve developing therapeutic approaches to target the complications of altered metabolism and obesity.

Throughout my pediatric residency training at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital, I began to recognize the impact of the overwhelming obesity epidemic and how development of obesity in the pediatric population leads to metabolic complications later in life, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and hepatic steatosis.

Through my sub-specialty training in pediatric endocrinology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, I realized that despite the increasing prevalence of obesity, there is a lack of robust pharmacologic interventions available, especially with regards to treatment of fatty liver disease and hyperlipidemia in children.

I am currently pursuing clinical research in this field, which allows me to combine my career interests of studying complex regulatory systems involved in metabolism, working on the development of therapeutics, and ultimately bringing that research directly to patients.
